Itty-Bitty Pots May 24 2026

When the world goes BIG AND BAD, my pots go ITTY-BITTY. Throwing on the wheel again, making tiny pots, is a good antidote to all the craziness happening in the world. Don't get me started on the messed-up world...Jeez...

With the Itty-Bitty Pots series I find peace in capturing the roughness of clay on the bottom of the pot like the "rivulets" that we see in the sand at low-tide. Sand beneath the sparkling blue sky found only on a good day at Newcomb Hollow Beach. I've transformed this idea into end table or desk lamps that are one-of-a-kind. Sold one yesterday to a nice fellow from Boston named Jeremy who looked at the lamp and saw what I see. That is gratifying for an artist.

We have a few of these one-of-a-kind lamps in the Newcomb Hollow Shop (signed on the bottom), and now I go into the studio to check on Kiln Connie (she's firing some beautiful lamps right now).
